from A London Provisioner's Chronicle, 1550-1563:
The twentieth day of September was buried my Lady Southwell at Shoreditch with priests and clerks singing, with two white branches and two dozen torches and four great tapers and four dozen … and the church hanged with black and arms and many mourners.
