The same day of October was buried in Whittington College Mr. Alexander Carlisle, the master of the vintners, the which he married the daughter of Sir George Barnes, knight, late mayor of the noble City of London and haberdasher. […] And there were the clerks of London singing. And [Robert] Crowley did preach.
