Thomas Moore in Paris - 17 September, 1819
from Diary of Thomas Moore, 17 September 1819, pages 11–12:
Dined at Beauvilliers’ with Lord John; and then, he to the Français, and I to the Opera: “La Vestale;” delighted with it, as usual. Few things set my imagination on the wing so much as these spectacles at the Opera.
