from Spitalfields Festival 2002-2003 Education and Community Project, page 3:

I’ve just returned from the concert performed by the Choir of King’s College. I just had to say how stunning both the programme and performances were. What a wonderful way to begin the festival and in such a lovely setting. You must be extremely pleased, and rightly so—congratulations to all involved.

Notes

The listening experience relates to the opening concert of the June Festival. Christ Church, the home of the Spitalfields Festival, was closed for renovations 2002-2003. Wesley’s Chapel, Wilton’s Music Hall and Shoreditch Church were among the venues the Festival used during what Artistic Director and composer Jonathan Dove described as ‘going on the move’ and ‘our adventurous trail around the East End’ (p. 2).
