Studied English, then to my English lady for a lesson, then to the Sokol, and in the evening Zakharov came in to play to me Tcherepnin's Tale of the Fish and the Fisherman, which he is due to play at the 'Contemporaries' concert. A marvellous piece, and I think Zakharov will make a good job of it. I find it very touching that Zakharov seeks my opinion; in general relations between us could not be better. |
