The other interesting student in her [Yesipova's] class is Borovsky*. At the exam performances in the spring I heard him give an outstanding performance of the Schumann 'Toccata'. At the time I did not want to accept that he played it better than I did, because I think my performance is also very good. But little by little I became persuaded of his superiority, and since then I have a great admiration for Borovsky as a pianist.
