After my bank visit I went with Maria Korsak, Mme Militant and the singer [Marina Pavlovnina] to the People's House so that Figner* could hear the latter. Maria Pavlovna had especially asked me to accompany her. I was very happy to have the chance of meeting Figner and to see how it would all turn out. In fact nothing very remarkable occurred; the singers sang splendidly and Figner, it seems, will take her.
