My Mother and Father were pretty religious in those days, also my father was a big believer in “Spiritualism” (There were several prominent people believers in Spiritualism those early days among them a Schoolmaster and Local Preacher) and well do I remember us all sitting around the little round table which I have now and singing “Shall we gather at the river, where bright Angels feet have trod”, and we would all have our hands placed on the table.
