In the evening I went to a recital by Meyerovich and Piastro, and took away a very favourable impression. The audience was European, well turned out, and the programme consisted of serious music pretty well played. Meyerovich is not bad, although I would not call him a truly outstanding pianist. Piastro, though, is an excellent violinist. An idea: I should compose a violin sonata! |
