Diary entry “Bath. Aug.24 to Oct.5” The usual 2 Balls a week, but O! how tiresome to me! One play a week, of which I was at 3. At one, there was a Shift danc’d for by 4 young Women, which made some divertion. Pepett Shows tyred me past patience; Medlys, Juggling Man and Waterworks in Harrison’s Garden, of which I was at none. Musick making once a week. I was at 3, one of them for the bennefit of Piero the Mimick - little entertain’d with any. |
