1) I attended the Festival of Britain for the opening of the Royal Festival Hall, as a young boy in 1951, which made a great impression on me then, and influenced me to attend future concerts.                                    2) My next memorable event was being present for the complete restored version of Abel Gance's classical silent film "Napoleon", 1927, with the music score composed and conducted by Carl Davis, and played by the L.S.O. in the R.F.H., June 2000.
