I have given Heidenreich my opinion on the Conservatoire concerts. He must have told you about it. I want to add that I have heard their orchestra in the “Pastoral” Symphony. It was very good – too good, I think. They bring out each detail with so much attention and such refinement of nuance that the total effect suffers. |
