In a grim piece, Presumption, the huge, weird figure of Frankenstein's monster in glittering greenish bronze, endeavouring to catch sounds of music with its hands, and dashing off with the screaming child of its artist-creator, is before me now. T. P. Cooke was a splendid pantomimist as well as actor, and his "Monster" was surely the first Robot seen on the stage.
