The air in itself was nothing, and sung by Ivanhoff without the least effect. The remainder of this part was a selection from Beethoven’s Oratorio, the Mount of Olives, in English, parts of which were very beautiful. It consisted of a recitative and air, by Caradori, with a chorus. It need not be said she sung it well. |
