This afternoon I had a visit from Marinochka, ostensibly so that she could show me how much her singing had come on, and to hear the song I had suggested to her five years ago but which she had not yet performed. Her voice has grown in strength and volume since that time, but whether it is now big enough I am not sure. Her phrasing is delightful. She was not completely won over by the song I had originally suggested, preferring 'Trust Me'. It was evident that she appreciates the distance I have travelled, musically speaking, since those days. |
