I then went to see the cellist Rosenstein to play through the Ballade for Nurok's concert. I had played with him several times before, four years ago at the 'Evenings of Contemporary Music', and I was not expecting it to be anything like as good as with Beloúsov, but in fact Rosenstein showed a lot of temperament, tone and liveliness: it was a very decent performance and his pizzicato was even faster than Beloúsov's. |
