In the evening I went to the fourth 'Contemporaries' evening. Zakharov played The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish indifferently, and some pieces from the same composer's [Tcherepnin's] marvellous Alphabet very well indeed. There were a lot of musicians there I knew and it was generally a pleasant time. |
