Well, it seemed as though both shows were waiting for one to break the ice on the streets, though each show was at a different depot, and it was unhandy to see which one would leave their car first, but again it appeared that both shows must have left at the same time, only Silas Green had picked their concert spot and was playing when Mahoney's Mobile parade was sighted coming nearer and nearer, until they reached where Silas Green was. And, believe me, those darkeys were looking some hot and playing some music. Silas Green Band left the circle first, after receiving many hands from both white and Colored. |
