Having thus agreeably passed our time till late in the evening, we returned to the inn, where an excellent dinner had been waiting our arrival. Every thing was served up in the British style; as Madam Cavigioli, our landlady, although married to an Italian, was an Irish woman. The landlord and his brother attended us during dinner, and afterwards amused us cheerfully with vocal and instrumental music. |
