I had myself woken at half past seven as by nine I must be at rehearsal, which today looked like being a complicated one. It began with the Bach Passacaglia played by the small orchestra which we were preparing for the student concert at the end of November. The organ professor also attended and we repeated the performance, this time with him playing the organ. However, he played very quietly and without making any changes in registration, so the performance did not produce any particularly impressive highlights.
