[A] rather abridged Evensong. O[rgan]. – A nice little organ, well played by a lady. It was built by Jones & Son. H[ymns]. – A good selection from Hymns A. & M. C[hoir]. – Surpliced, good, large and voluntary. It would do for any chu[rch]. The boys' voices were a treat. [The congregation numbered] 120 – These are about the numbers. All were well behaved. There were few in the front pews. Few men were present, perhaps about six, some children behind, but quite a nice attendance. |
