Project Team (2016-2019)
The current project team is led by principal investigator Professor David Rowland of the Open University’s Music Department. It includes a number of co-investigators and research associates from the OU’s Music Department and its Knowledge Media Institute (KMI), from the Royal College of Music and the University of Glasgow. - Prof Trevor Herbert (OU) is researching the experience of listening to bands and singers in Ireland and the Irish diaspora in Britain.
- Prof Lorna Hughes (Glasgow) will be investigating ways of mining large datasets including social media archives.
- Dr Elaine Moohan (OU) is researching traditional and art music in Scotland.
- Prof David Rowland (OU) is researching the influence of the London music business on other parts of Britain.
