Benjamin Britten in Gresham's School - 29 September, 1928, 07:00 PM

from Diary of Benjamin Britten, Sept 29 1928, page 13:

Usual work, walk, and practice. In evening Mr. Greatorex, + Miss Chapman. Give a recital. Mr G. is simply terrible, played no 2. Notes together, and everything [BB writes a squiggle here] To think that he is professor of music here! Miss C. was quite good if only she could tune her strings!
