Geoffrey Elleray in Urswick - between 1949 and 1951
from The life and times of an Ossick lad : an autobiography, page 47:
I was impressed by the piano playing of Charlie Kunz (1896-1958) who I heard on the valve-operated wireless (radio) at home, listening with my mother in the late forties early fifties. His style was simple and clear and interpreted the music in a style that was distinctive and endearing.
