Crew and passengers et al. in Gulf of Suez - 10 December, 1916
from Diary extract 10 December, 1916 Ronald Storrs , page 190:
(Upstairs [on board the troopship H.M.S. Dufferin] we had just had "O Come, all ye Faithful" on the gramophone, followed by "And He shall feed His Flock" rather jerkily rendered on the pianola.) After dinner I oblige them with a little Wagner and Puccini, and dreadfully defeat the Paymaster at Chess.
