from War Diary of Capt. Neil Weir, Summer 1916, page 67:
We then advanced once more and reached the crossroads at Longueval at the same time as the Black Watch on our right. And this is where the officers come in, i.e. to re-organise and get the men to consolidate. Which we did.
...When my Company got disorganised when moving on the objective I got Wilson, the piper, to play the Regimental March, which he did in grand style, thus reassembling the Company.
