On Thursday 14th M. M. Chernov at last introduced me to the 'Evenings of Contemporary Music'. I took along some of my short piano pieces, volumes two and three (up to and including 'Entreaties'). Only four people were there: Nurok, Nouvel, Medem and Senilov. Mikhail Mikhailovich gave me a very warm recommendation and I sat down to play my pieces. The first was 'Snow', which at once grabbed their attention and pleasantly surprised them: original, descriptive logical and beautiful were some of the adjectives they used to describe it.
