Chris Murphy in Central Park - September, 1975

from Miles To Go: The Lost Years: An Intimate Memoir of Life on the Road with Miles Davis, page 108:

In early September of 1975, we played the Central Park festival at the Wollman Skating Rink. We didn't know it then, but it was the last gig Miles would play until the spring of 1981. The band played well that day, but it was obvious that performing had become too much for Miles--it simply cost him too much physically.
