John Wesley in Aberdare - 6 April, 1749, 12:00 AM

from The Journal of John Wesley, page 172:

About noon we came to Aberdare, just as the bell was ringing for a burial. This had brought a great number together, to whom, after the burial, I preached in the church. We had almost continued rain from Aberdare to the great rough mountain that hangs over the vale of Brecknock; but as soon as we gained the top of this, we left the clouds behind us.
