et al. in London - 20 June, 1933

from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 143:

He brings me back in his car & drops me at 31 Mayfield Avenue where I have dinner with Fred. May & have gramophone records after with him. Pajola's Daughter - Tapiola - & 5th Symphony - all Sibelius. I enjoyed Tapiola v. much & bits of the 5th - but it is hard to see what he's driving at. Food for thought, tho'.
