Benjamin Britten in Lowestoft - 10 September, 1934

from Journeying boy : the diaries of the young Benjamin Britten 1928-1938, page 223:

Listen to a Fragment of a Wagner prom. I shoudn't have thought that anyone could make the Love Duet from Tristan, dull & cheap - but Wood, M. Blythe & P. Jones achieve this feat. Also an absolute Kapelmeister perf. of the Siegried Idyll.
