A long and happy night, wrapped in her love - a night out of the past.  So I woke with life, and found a letter from Rachel [Hickson] who had got the tortoise; and wrote to her & to Janet, and was busy and content till the wireless tuned in with I would give my Love an apple. And that cast me into an anguish of bodily craving and grieving...
