Charles Burney in Rome - 16 November, 1770
After dinner to Crispi's academia - I arrived late - his new quartetos were performing, and he was so obliging as to make the performers begin again and go thro' with the whole 6. I think these compositions have great merit and are superior to any of his other productions.
