During part of the time of which I have been speaking, the second man was Savoi, whose voice was of so singularly beautiful and peculiar a tone, that when I was in Italy, going by chance into a church at Sienna during high mass, I was struck with sounds so sweet, yet, as I thought, not new to my ear, that I could not help inquiring the name of the performer, and found they proceeded from Savoi.
