Left for town - had a chop & some tea then went to the Op[era] Com[ique] to hear “Patience” - Exc[eedingl]y amusing - a great deal of cleverness in the libretto, and in the musical adapt[io]n - stage set-out very effective, melodies & choruses interesting orchestration very suitable though unobtrusive.
