As for New Look conductors, Ozawa is the only one I know anything about. In fact I have just listened to his breakneck Rite of Spring (RCA) – as far, that is, as the tutti in Spring rounds, which he ruins by turning the three timpani appoggiatura into straight triplet upbeats, a ludicrously comic effect.
