Igor Stravinksy in London - 1921
from Themes and Conclusions, page 228:
My first experience of Kussevitsky as a conductor of my music was his execution – firing-squad sense-of my Symphonies of Wind Instruments in London in 1921. He came to see me in Biarritz after that, to mend relations and invite me to conduct my Octuor in one of his Paris concerts.
