Maude V. White in London - in the beginning of the 1880's
from Friends and Memories, pages 246-47:
Margot [Ribblesdale] really cared about music, and had a good deal of talent. She played not only with great feeling but with unusual charm, and, what is extremely rare for an amateur, she played Chopin with real comprehension of the melancholy, capricious, fascinating quality of the music. It suited her perfectly.
