Maude V. White in England - late 19th Century

from Friends and Memories, page 354:

I gave a concert that season at Prince’s Hall (now Prince’s Restaurant). Mr. Herbert Thorndike, who sang my baritone songs beautifully, was unable to assist me this time, and I was wondering whom I should ask, when a friend said to me—

“Why don’t you ask Plunket Greene ? He sings beautifully.”
