Sergei Prokofiev in Berlin - mid March, 1922

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 25 February - 23 November 1922, page 670:

I enjoyed seeing Zakharov and Cecilia again, although our encounter was not a long one. He gave me a whole-hearted welcome, and stressed how fond he had always been of me. Cecilia had a tremendous success in Berlin, and did indeed play magnificently. She Violin Concerto, but could make little of it. 'She is pure chair-à-violon', exclaimed an infuriated Suvchinsky.
