Alan Plater

from Doggin' around, page 170:

When I was researching The Devil's Music I went into the living room one day to play Paul Robeson's song 'Oh Didn't the Lord deliver Daniel'.  A young woman - let's say mid-thirties - who had called to cut our hair, stared at me and said: 'You're playing a record.'

'Yes,' I said. 'It's called an LP.  They used to be all the rage.'
