I have written, produced, made the dresses and scenery for six pantomimes. That was when I was a Sunday School teacher. May did all the music and playing, but I wrote all the words and taught the kids, and wrote the lyrics. They were: “Cinderella” (twice), “Dick Whittington” (twice), “Babes in the Wood” and “The Sleeping Beauty’. Also, when I was a teacher in the Congregational Sunday School during the [Second World] war, I wrote and produced two “Services of Song” for their Anniversary Sunday. One was “The Light of the World” and one was “The Good Shepherd”. They were very successful and the special preacher asked me to repeat it at the Evening Service, which I did.
