During my second year at ‘High’ school, I returned for a quick visit to Dreibeck for the 1911 coronation [of George V on 22 June]. It was quite a journey is those days, by train, then bus, and the last five miles by horse and trap with friends. An evening dance in the marquee lit by numerous farm lanterns followed, and a real but small band from Norgarth, engaged specially for the occasion, played for this as well as during the afternoon.
