Not many of the music hall hits that we missed and other sentimental ones, too many that we never hear now, such as “Silver Threads Among the Gold”, and others, many that are out of print which I well remember. My Father too, how he used to sing; they used to have a Club Night at the Cattle Market Tavern (Sick and Dividend) and Father was one of its members; the evening was chiefly spent in song singing and drinking beer, and playing cards.
