Mr. Lysons was last Monday at Mrs. Piozzi’s fête at Streatham. Five-and-forty persons sat down to dinner. In the evening was a concert, and a little hopping, and a supper.

Notes

‘Mr. Lysons’ could refer to either of the two brothers, Daniel Lysons (28 April 1762–3 January 1834), antiquary and historical topographer, or Samuel Lysons (bap. 1763–29 June 1819), antiquary and archaeologist. Both men were close friends and correspondents of both Horace Walpole and Hester Piozzi.
