I dare say James Frampton told you that we met with an old friend, the opera of ‘Gli Schiavi per Amore,’ at Milan. They do not change their operas in Italy so often as in London, but repeat the same opera and dances every night for six weeks together. We went to it the three nights we were there, and I assure you I came away more delighted than ever. The Archduke and his court were there the last night, and the house was very full.
