Georgiana Charlotte Fullerton, née Leveson-Gower et al. in Palace of Fontainebleau - between 4 October, 1834 and 6 October, 1834

from Letter from Lady Granville and Lady Georgiana Fullerton to Lady Carlisle, 7 October 1834 , page 169:

In the evening there was a spectacle, la suite d’un bal masqué, ‘Le Philtre,’ by Auber and a pas de deux in the interval. The theatre is pretty, and all the women being very smart it made altogether a beautiful coup d’œil

Yesterday the day was passed in a similar manner. In the evening the ‘Barbiere’ and the ‘Prova d’una opera seria,’ in which Lablache, Rubini, Tamburini, Ivanhoff, and Julie Grisi all appeared.

Notes

Although Harriet Leveson-Gower began this letter to her sister, it was completed by her daughter, Georgiana Fullerton, because 'Mama's time is so filled up by all the things she is obliged to do and to see here' (p. 168).
