Mary Berry et al. in Teatro del Fondo, Naples - 22 January, 1784, at night

from Diary of Mary Berry, 22 January 1784, page 78:

In the evening, called on Madame Scarowsky [Skavronsky] ; went to the Teatro di Fondo with Princess Belmonte ; it was three boxes laid together; they can at any time take down the partitions, which are only hooked on. The Teatro di Fondo is a comic opera, performed for the benefit of a fund pensioning the widows of officers. The music pretty, but none of the voices remarkable.
