Mary Berry in Astroni, nr. Naples - 26 February, 1784
from Diary of Mary Berry, 26 February 1784, page 93:
Went to Astroni, where the King of Naples himself, without the assistance of any general officer, reviewed his regiment of Liparoti; the exercise was very tolerably performed, the manual exercise performed to music, beautiful. I am told the manoeuvres were old-fashioned.
