Went to Mrs. Gordon, where there was an excellent assembly, and delightful music. The four sisters,* Naldi Tremazzani [sic] and two Portuguese.
*Editor’s footnote explains that Mrs Duff Gordon and her four sisters (Mrs Peploe, Viscountess Hereford, Mrs Frankland Lewis, and Miss Cornewall) ‘were all celebrated for their musical talents.’
